The most serious issue nowadays is global warming and climate change which threatens the lives of many creatures, including humans. The main decisions to stop the problem are made by governments and without reducing energy consumption in all sections it will be a long-term and difficult transition to a green world. Although scientists have conducted extensive research over the last two decades leading to increased public awareness about global warming, there appears to be a lack of unity among communities to combat the problem while solving such a global problem needs the action of most of the world population. The reason behind the dysfunction is the insufficient awareness among people and the unavailability of proper tools to contribute to the problem-solving process. Many people know about the threat but do not know how they can help prevent the deterioration of the situation. Moreover, many residential building across Canada has been built before the standards and are inefficient in terms of energy consumption and have a contributory role in climate change and need to be renovated and optimized in terms of energy consumption.
